Our ecosystem

Three doors into the same work

Most organisations reach a young person once. We built three, so that a child who meets us at seven can still be with us at twenty.

Happy Feet Youth Project

Where it started. Arts, culture, dance and sport that reach children early, keep them off the street after school, and build the confidence everything else is stacked on.

iThuba Innovation Hub

STEM, digital skills, wellbeing and a supported route into tertiary study. Launched in 2017 and running daily.

Siviwe Tours

Township tourism run by Langa residents, telling Langa's story on its own terms — creating work locally and helping sustain the youth programmes.

Happy Feet in motion

Gumboot dancing is where it starts

Dance — gumboot above all — is Happy Feet's front door: rhythm, discipline and performance that give children a reason to show up every afternoon.

  • Young Happy Feet performers mid-routine in traditional and modern dress
  • Gumboot and dance performance on stage in front of a Langa audience
  • A performer in a high-visibility vest and hard hat with a young gumboot dancer
  • Children in hard hats watching a gumboot dance performance

The loop: tourism creates income and jobs → jobs fund and staff the youth programmes → the programmes produce the next generation of guides, coders and leaders.
